How can you tell which ones those are and which ones would still be there even if it was just five people and everyone else thought it was shit?

They're so much worse than hipsters.

Yeah, I just think of them as hipsters lol. Like i just hate people who go to nights and look cool and wear a backpack and shit and like they probably wouldnt like the music if it wasnt cool, or they may not even like it that much anyway, they just go cos its cool there. I think I dress quite 'cool' I like to wear 'cool' looking clothes, but I wouldnt say that I am a hipster, but then again I do like music that no one else likes :o

I have never taken a backpack to a club, like all I need is wallet keys phone, i just dont understand why you have to go there with a bag, wear the bag, and then get it all up in my face. especially when you go fucking mad when walk 4 me is dropped and then look confused when tha bassline dont drop

this thread has lost me. or maybe i don't really know what a hipster is because hipster to me are those second hand vintage dressers who have beards and listen to iron and wine and bonnie prince billy and watch portlandia. no ''urban'' style or culture involved

i don't know what a hipster really is nowadays, its just easier to do your own thang and let other people get on with it.

sorta annoys me when people are always about the "next big thing" and abandon a track or style of clothing just because it's a month old, but its their loss really.

isn't the indy hipster where it all originated from though? i feel like the more (and goddamn i hate saying this but i don't know which other way to describe it) urban hipster is something newer. like 2009 up perhaps? you know that kanye west style/model worship culture?

so im under the impression that the whole trap thing and bass music these days is being considered hipster/trendy which is strange considering bass music was nothing new but it seems to be for these kids.

*and i already read your rant BM lol.

Really stupid term, it seems that liking/listening to/going to/wearing anything that is big/fashionable makes you a hipster, stupid shit

I'd say - the indy hipster is definatly of the originals
- and is probably one of the more confident outspoken sort of hipster

probably becaue they are drawing for the vintage rustic sarcastic humor first...snoopy vs the red baron type thing

Image

whereas the urban hipster has more of a nasty bite ie the black vampire...blacula type virulence

Image

which adds (acertain) amount of italian lesbian vampire porn to the money.

Image

a really painful homogenization.
