Cool stuff man, I love forgot about dre so it's cool that you pulled that sample. I liked the song a lot, nice bassline.

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to reply man!

i dont like this kind of music but i would say, pay more attention to your drums, they could use some more character.. synth sounds kinda dry so could do with more modulation etc..

Ye man yr snare gets proper eaten by your b line (which sounds great). you need maybe a punchier snare sample layered with something with more high end character. maybe try the mirrored EQ technique with your snare and mid range bass.

yeah i hear ya. I do have a clap layered over the snare though. and all proper eqing done. maybe ill just try a different sample for the snare.

yea its not the clap i have a problem with. its the snare underneath . I think you need something to fill the hole i the mids of yer snare.Evil D wrote:yeah i hear ya. I do have a clap layered over the snare though. and all proper eqing done. maybe ill just try a different sample for the snare.

Ye man its as easy as mixing in some other snare samples or changin your snare or w/e. easy peasy lemon dubstep

Im not a fan of this sound much but the bline is catchy. As mentioned already the drums need attention. This sort of sound requires the kick and snare at the front of the mix. Use sidechain compression to duck the other elements around the kick and snare. Not loads, just enough, then a bit less probably.
