Thoughts on Hardstyle?
Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
I'll tolerate it if I'm pissed and it comes on. Same with happy hardcore, it's like a guilty pleasure I induldge in when I'm pissed ha.
Any other time it's too fast but.

Alright, I'm going to be that guy. Honestly I actually can't fucking get enough hardstyle into my ears during the day. I don't know what it is about it but the hammering kicks and melodies just make me want to go crazy, and I'm a Dnb and Drumstep producer (I love that stuff just as much as hardstyle), should I see a therapist?
Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
Can someone make a hardstyle producer list so we can put 2 and 2 together?

Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
It's hilarious that fans of every other style of EDM hate dubstep, and posts on a dubstep forum like this exists. All EDM is weird. Why don't people see that? It's crazy to me that you can like some weird sounds, but not other weird sounds. If it's a tempo thing that makes you not like a style, you don't like music. I started with trance, moved to hardstyle, then dubstep, now trap. I don't dislike any style or genre, but I go through spurts where I prefer one over others. Yes hardstyle is aggressive, hints the first half of the word being "hard". It's not an accident, and it's not something people are overlooking. It's intentional and people are aware. Different genres of EDM exists to fit different moods. If everyone hated electronic sounds so much, there'd never be progression, and we'd all still be listing to Kool Herc spinning disco records or Gary Numan's "Cars".

Haven't listen to a lot of it, but I didn't really like 90% of what I heard.

Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
Hardstyle was one of the first genres in the edm world, and I really enjoy listening to it still even i like more dubstepy things, however the mixture is cool and all but i enjoy hardstyle as hardstyle and dubstep as dubstep not as dubstyle. but back to hardstyle, the way it´s arrenged is really nice and I think it´s quite easy to dance to even though it´s fast with 150bpm

Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
it's easy for rhythmically challenged people to dance to because there's no rhythm outside of 4x4 kicks... I can't dance to that shit at all, where's the poly-rhythms and syncopation?
I've never heard a hardstyle tune I liked, try me

Re: Thoughts on Hardstyle?
No, hardstyle didn't even start up until around 2000. house had been around for over 20 years m1. also calling electronic music edm makes the genre sound cheesy, just call it electronic music.redslime wrote:Hardstyle was one of the first genres in the edm world

Damn this is old, so you guys might notice that Hardstyle has come along way since the year of 2012 if you haven't already noticed and it seems like you've just been listening to some really bad examples of it and are really quite the opposite of open minded to new music.
