The very original and the Skream remix are large.

The klaxons are shit and so is there remix, but the skream mix is remix of the klaxons one so..

Ah fuck it.

the grace version was a classic, i love the klaxons version as they brought a modern breath of fresh air to the song, this song has seen a lot of play in my sets.
the skream version is amazing again because it adds a whole new feel to it. i first heard this remix at the warehouse project last yr with dillinga and the scratch perverts and this remix sounded perfect and people went wild.

in my set this sat i think i will play both versions, why not.

for haters of crossovers, theres nothing wrong with it in a live point of view. theres nothing better than listening to a solid dnb or dubstep or electro set only to hear a little ratm, g'n'r or indie song creep through. it adds to the fun

The world really can do without this Nu-Rave culture which borrows elements of every other scene to sell them out to MTV kids in Shoreditch, just watch Nathan Barley if you dont understand my point.

It started out with really bad Electro remixes of popular Indie tunes, and I thought Dubstep out of any genre would not go there. I was shocked when I heard Dubstep in the tv series Skins, which usually depicts groups of spoilt rich parent poorly dressed London teens taking heroin in derelict buildings with loads of flashing lights and Dubstep playing (I really hope this doesnt actually go on). The Skream track stops me dead in the middle of a skank when I hear it on the dancefloor, guaranteed it usually gets the crowd going as its one of the more commercial tunes, but its usually my key to head to the bar and fill myself with liquor!

Dubstep encompasses different styles to add variance to the genre which is more of a tribute to the other genres, whereas Nu-Rave sells out on providing a mainstream with bits of Indie / Electro / Drum n Bass and currently Dubstep for people that generally wouldn't be involved in these scenes if it wasn't for the remixes of popular tunes (which when done properly actually tribute or develop on the original tunes without selling out). I hate Nu-Raves whole Nu culture of people that think raving is about going to big clubs and having glow sticks. I am heavily involved with the Freeparty scene in the North of the UK, get yourselves out in fields and support local soundsystems and talent!!

Also im not slating the track purely because its commercial, I just really don't like it compared to all the quality upcoming Dubstep artists work. Skream is spot on and continues to release awesome tunes, but the last few times I have seen him, I was more impressed by the supporting DJ's especially the lesser known ones which are trying so hard to perform and get known.

this tune is wkd. AND ITS A REMIX, does the job well man. big it up skream.

and i thought dubstep was all about freedom and variety, ppl need to calm down. u honestly that bothered that dubstep is reaching even more ppl? not like he aint still making killer beats.

Nu rave doesnt exist... it (was) a media construct aimed at lumping different genres of music together (indie/electro etc) founded on nothing more than the fact that a group of people from different genres starting wearing the same fashion (day glo) which has now passed

people dont actually call themselves nu rave.. have u met one?

back onto whether this tunes getting a release. I read an interview not so long ago posted on this forum with skream. He said the samples were cleared cus he told klaxons agent or sony that he liked there album and hed remix a tune, and at random they sent not over yet. Skream said in it that Sony were pissing about with it getting a release, so he said something about finding another label to take it up soon.

Big up Skream on this anyway, shud release a package. Distance make me rmx, Benga chest boxin remix, and this, with some of the magnetic man stuff haha. can only dream

Yes I know a few and they are proud to call label themselves as Nu Rave, and I see them everywhere I go. Agreed it was a term created by NME originally for Klaxons, although Klaxons say they aren't Nu Rave. It hasn't passed at all, its growing if anything as more and more people decide to wear all sorts of weird items of clothing in combination, especially elements of 80's styles, and those ridiculous luminous plastic sunglasses.

you do have a point but in my experience these little deluded pseudo cool, music knowing people are fucking annoying

ive been on a bus before with the worlds biggest, most obnoxious, poshest brightestly dressed group of nu rave twats before and i very nearly slashed my throat....theyre always little posh buggers...bellowing in their big posh entitled voices in an ignorant fashion....theyd be the first to talk about 'chavs' making a nuisance of themselves on a bus but theyre worse..it seems very dependent on the group for them and strength in numbers...i often go to events on my own if my mates cant make it out

but at the end of the day its the worst exposure of peoples desire to be into a scene..there may be some people like that in dubstep, breakcore etc but there is at least actual music that you can say is dubstep, breakcore etc....no-one actually knows what nu rave is..its a total marketing driven genre...there is no music...and i think a lot of people see people that say theyre into nu rave or dressed in that fashion and think to themselves this is a very shallow person..and it does make sense really even though judging anyone is wrong

the only scene people i get annoyed about are the ones that arent in it for the music i suppose...modern emos, nu rave kids and people that say they like d&b and then tell you all about pendulum:D
