bahahahahaha wot a shit video.

i always thought grime is the genre that lacks even the basics of professionalism and thought into promotional moves, but now i just dont know, always looked at dubstep as a ''older, more mature brother of grime'', cant look at it no more after this video.

its just not serious.

the is model looks sicccck
really great job on model
the particles and dynamics in the background are also insane
lighting and texturing also looks great (very creative)
squid animation is a bit funky though
could of played with the tangents a bit more
overall i think the video is awesome but then again 3d and dubstep is my life

Its fucking rubbish inmho. What happens? I know the animation is impressive etc etc but c'mon, the only idea anyone had for a video for Dubsteps flagship tune of the moment is a giant bloody squid?

Personally I couldnt care less but with the commercial potential of Night surely a good video with some narrative and an idea would seal the deal?

Are you serious?

I've seen much worse videos than that - the majority of hip hop / RnB videos made since 1998 for a start.
completely.

at least with those sort of generic videos, there is usually a laugh or two to be had at their expense. where as this...........nothing.

Wot does that even mean?

maybe if it had a big pair of flashing octopus tits it might cater to the animated needs of some of the neanderthal types who loiter around this forum.
so i take it you made the video then?

Yes i did. and i would have got away with it if it wasnt for you pesky kids

NO I DIDNT MAKE IT i just dont agree with mindless unfounded hating on another man's art. Nice try Columbo, but i'd stick to mindless message board banter if i was you. :? :|

six smilies you smug bastard.

i thought the video was complete shit. a REALLY boring video for a pretty boring song.

i don't want to be harsh but it really is a disgraceful video. its obvious they didn't really know what to do so just had a squid do the same thing on loop for 5 minutes.

i'm not worried about offending benga or coki by saying its shit, because i think they already know its shit.

they will be laughing all the way to the bank with this one :|

It's the end off the world now, oh no, a dubstep tune has got so much exposure that a little animation was made quickly so when its played on tv and your nan's bobbing her head to the beat that it isn't to a totally blank screen. It's the end, time to wank and feel better!!!

I think we should redo it, sit on top of some flashy cars outside the kebab shop on the high street in sunny croydon and act well hard.

It's not great or amazing but it wasn't to be, i'm looking out for the experts in this thread and their videos on tv in the next year or 10 but I doubt I'll see any, you can usually tell by people attitudes they they wont get far in the music.

And out to everyone saying it's a such a boring tune, send me your tune and if it's a gram less boring i'd probably play it, you never know it could get so big that you have your own dancing weasel for a vid in a year.

yes to the first bit. quality idea. why veer from the tried and tested 'urban' music video template?

and as for the second bit, well, have you ever thought that a film was shit? you dont have to be able to make a movie to criticise it. :)

and as for flash harry. cheer up dude, i was only messing. :!:
is it?

NO.

No one ever over hyped it and said it's a greatest video ever in the 1st place for people to be going over the top and calling it utter shit, i've already explained it's uses for the nan's around the world.

I might think that a film is shit, that could be my opinion but it doesn't mean it's the right opinion and at the sametime you don't have to be a Chef to say if a steak taste's nice or not, fair enough you don't like it but you should have the respect and restraint to not call it shit.

If you believe it's so easy to make a better tasting steak then why not cook one for yourself at home and see how you got on it time?

What i'm getting at is that the same people who will call it shit are less likely to get as far in life, it's the people who are humble, believe they can do the same or better but aren't exactly sure how to yet who actually willing to try, try and eventually get somewhere.

If something's so easy to better then why not do it yourself, but better.

Spot on! I agree 100% as with most of what you say on here.

But that video is still fucking boring and just a bit weird really.

I would have preferred your suggestion of hanging out in croydon!
