PRESSING ISSUES: A&R Info Inside!

Post by pressing issues » Thu May 25, 2006 2:39 am

8bit has been elected as head of the A&R department, and things are starting to take off!

$hy has recently joined on as the deputy head, so give him a warm welcome!

Your main contacts in the A&R department will be 8bit, $hy, Forensix and 2000F though you may feel free to conatct any A&R or Promotions member.

Re: track collection – a temporary email address has been set up until the website is up and running – p.i.subs@gmail.com. 8bit is the be-all end-all when it come to track submissions, if he doesn’t have it in the gmail account or in his hands personally, it will NOT be considered for release. Updates will follow when the email addresses are set up for the official pressing issues website.

If/when you send tracks - we require a full-length 320kbps and a full-length 96kbps track. The 96kbps track will be used to compile the clips and the clips will be as objective as possible - see our myspace page if you have questions as to what it might sound like (link in the sig). Your tune will NOT be considered without BOTH the 320 and the 96.

For those with a lot of free time to dedicate to this project, we plan on utilizing you to the full extent. Relationship/contact management will fall into your hands, and you’ll be vital in both getting the word out and scouting for new tracks.

For those with a tighter schedule, no worries – you’ll still be involved – but we’ll be sure to acknowledge your busy schedule and your duties/responsiblities will directly reflect the amount of time you’ve detailed you have to put into the project.

We’re aiming to utilize the resources available in the best possible manner, not stress anyone out!

The A&R/promotions organization is 8bits domain, but we’re all working together to sort out the difficulties and put some points down in the ground for the framework.

Please do NOT hesitate to contact one of the committee members if you want to get involved, like I said we’re appreciative of any amount of time you have to spare – no matter how much/little.

The current A&R and Promotions team:
  • 8bit
  • $hy
  • Forensix
  • 2000F
  • Lucky Strike
  • Ramadanman
  • El Gato
  • Johnny Shih
  • Aural Assassain
  • Cain
  • Cure
We have many more volunteers than are currently listed - so no worries if you're not on the list - we have you in our contact database if you've gotten in contact with one of the PI members, and we'll be in contact as soon as the details get all sorted out.

A special note from 8bit himself:
just wanna say that i wanna be involved as much as i can with the whole project and o serve each and every A+R persons individually. If there are any questions that individuals want to ask me about how things are running and what expectations are about tracks and contacts etc please feel free to bash my ears!
thanks yall
