PRESSING ISSUES: Logo Competition - VOTE INSIDE!!

Post by pressing issues » Wed May 31, 2006 6:46 am

Cast Your Vote for the Logo Finalist Shortlist!!

The time has come to wade through this monstrous list of fantastic submissions from the board members.
Please vote here and help us decide on the TOP 5 for the Finalist Shortlist.

When you are choosing your favourite - please keep in mind the following:

* The logo should represent how YOU feel about the music, the scene and the people of the Dubstep Community.

* The logo should represent us as a professional, reputable label willing to stand next to any of the major indies out there.

* You are voting for the Best Concept and not execution. If you like a submission that is in pencil - then vote for it! We will finalize the execution later.

This will not be an easy task. There are 33 excellent entries to choose from.
The vote will be open for 7 days. Please help us build a great new and innovative concept in music labels and have your voice heard!!

Without further ado...

>> Here is the link to the submissions<<

Thank you and good luck to everyone who entered!

Jeez, indeed a hard task to choose. My favourite is definitely No. 1, but 3 & 15 are really great as well. Damn hard to pick one from these three.

I wish it were easier too!! Just too many talented folks in the scene ;-)

Just take your time - you've got seven days to mull it over.

man... nice work chaps.

I really like 1 and 18,
but my vote goes to 17-

I can just picture that circle on a label now, in loads of colourways
(though green/orange works). Put small white text on top of that for
your tracks & it's a killer.

Although most of these are executed extremely well, and i'm not trying to be overly critical to anyone who put the effort in to design these, my personal opinion is that making the P.I. into a little shapey thing is abit cliched. I just think if you put a p.i. shapey logo thing on there it's gonna look like every other mainstream house and drum and bass release. Something more grungey and lo-fi would be much cooler. 31 comes closest to this in my opinion, but i'm not sure the framing would work quite right on a round shaped label, because the dial is round itself.

Looks cool but to be fair to everyone else, we did clearly state the deadlines and gave a good 3 and a half weeks for submissions.

I've gotta agree with this. We want the logo to stand out from the crowd. My vote goes to 21. Big up to all those who entered though.
