Can't say I'm massively confident - but here's hoping. I quite want the boy Walcott to get on so I can try out the new chant that it took me and me mates 8 pints of stella to come up with on Sat -
To the tune of the ol Trio adverts
THEEEOO
THEE EE EE O
WALCOTT SCORE AND YER GOIN HOME
That and the possibility of him scoring a hat trick so every paper in the land can use that THREE-O headline they've been saving.

England look real short of fire power. Apart from that : Can Beckam do anything apart from corners and free kicks?

Pass and cross, but dribbling is not part of his repertoire neither is tackling

And I'm not sure I've ever seen him score in open play. If we can get Gerrard or lamps on the ball and work a bit of space outside the box we should have a chance

Ive seen him score plenty of goals from open play especially in 1999 when he helped us to our treble
let's bang a few in against T&T and get the confidence up for the Sweden game

So - conclusion: Becks cant tackle, shoot (unless its s deadball), dribble (cos he's slow) or head the ball for that matter. He has "vision" but I don't see him knocking them great balls he used to - about time he got his finger out! Lampard + Gerrard are heavy though - and Joe Cole the other day - Jesus that man is a speed freak - wanna see him do all that again.

has anyone else noticed he's pretty good at jumping but always seems to jump too early and lose out
add that he cant take penaltys and hes a rubbish captain

I gotta agree with you, also Crouch, he's got some skills but he never jumps. Have a look at him when he's next on the pitch, you'll see what I mean

unlucky mate, some serious ownage by the liverpool lads ;p
I've mentioned this on another thread, didn't notice this one till now, Sven better play Carragher instead of Hargreaves tomorrow in place of Neville.
Can't believe Jamie hasn't seen the field yet, his performance in the last 3 friendlies, playing any position, was outstanding.
