buying dubstep mp3's

Post by jabel » Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:30 am

So I'm an all digital dj using ONLY numark cdx's. And my dubstep collection is seriously pathetic. I bought every mp3 off bleep.com that was up to snuff and am having a hard time finding more! beatport doesnt have anything, and i don't really know anywhere else to look? Help me out!

Thanks for those links DAF, crucial. i didnt know about that site. Im in the same situation Jabel, one thing I would say is dont limit yourself to buying mp3's. Find as much material on CD as you can get your hands on.

good luck...99% of dubstep is on vinyl.only recently with bengas cd has there been a non-mixed album of strictly dubstep tunes.

Unmixed CD albums;

Vex'd - Degenerate and Boxcutters - Oneric on Planet Mu

Both Horsepower albums on Tempa

Burials album on Hyperdub (not exactly DJ material though) and of course Bengas release.

I expect the Skream forthcoming album will be on CD.

err.... I can't think of anything else - if there is more let me know because I prefer the CD format to either MP3 or vinyl.

not entirely sure how I managed to forget those... seeing as I actually own all three of them as well. :lol:

planet mu always release CD versions of the albums so things look good.
