A life of music...
I agree, always hear people saying "I hate this genre." It's starting to get on my nerves in a way. I mean of course we'll all have favorable genres but there's always a line to draw at one point or another. I've always thought this, am I going about this in the wrong mindset?
Discuss.

LOL.
Well regardless of who said it I'm just talking about the phrase in general from the start cause obviously I've heard that way before madeon even existed.

dono man, Imo every song has one small thing that's enjoyable. It could be a perc, one kick in it, or a nice melody even though the song as a whole could be shite.

Re: A life of music...
But that's not what the phrase is saying. It's not 'every tune can have a single element that is likeable in a sea of shit', it's saying that's every genre is good and if you don't like something it's because of you.Ficticious wrote:dono man, Imo every song has one small thing that's enjoyable. The quote is irrelevant to me cuz I don't believe genres are a thing and context is learned or unlearned.

I think people just use hate instead of dislike.
I dont hate folk music for example but I dont like it either, I have no doubt their is some stuff out there that I would like, I just have no intrest in finding it.

A real one, or a joke one?
every tune can have a single element that is likeable in a sea of shit'
^ That's the quote I think about honestly...
It still kinda annoys me when people say "this song sucks" (If it's well produced within that genre)
Cause all shit takes some time to produce well, not like you can just pop out a tune in half a day and have it sound absolutely amazing..unless you throw in no emotion and get lucky that someone is drunk enough to see it.
Re: A life of music...
So what context should Madeon's Guitar Hero style EDM be listened to in?
