Good Bass/Growls Samples/Packs?

Post by dude2 » Wed Feb 05, 2014 8:20 pm

There is probably a thread like this already. If there is please let me know! Also, if I am somehow breaking any rules with this thread let me know, and I will take it down. I haven't been active on the forums for awhile...

Before you read this. Please don't reply with "WHY DON'T YOU MAKE YOUR OWN BASSES WITH **OBLIGATORY VST**. I don't care to hear it...I hate using VSTs. I was a hip-hop producer before I got into EDM, and I did a lot of sampling...so it's what I like, and what I am used to.

I've recently started re-sampling a lot. Finding a 5-10 second clip of a bass, and eqing, stretching and warping, and filtering away until I get what I want. It's fun, but the biggest issue I have is that I don't know any truly good bass sample packs. I found one(The disciple pack), but their samples are VERY gritty(I prefer mine a bit smoother):

I also find remix stems that people leave open to the public are good. If it's an OK artist who releases it. You can usually get some good samples from them.

If you have any(Preferably Free)please reply with some links! Hopefully this thread can help me and some other folks out!

Why not sample basslines from funk songs you like then? If you've already got the hip hop aesthetic with sampling old breaks & drums etc.

Yes. I don't get it. Just sample tunes you like. Otherwise...loopmasters.com

I think High Rankin has some decent packs as well. Personally apart from single drum shot samples I prefer to use a vst and play everything myself.

i think a better and more productive bet is watching youtube videos on these kind of sounds and making them yourself. so much easier than hunting down that perfect sample.

This thread is really not for me specifically xD

This is more of just a thread for anyone who is willing to help out someone else with a sample packs they've found, and I don't mean like VENGEANCE. I mean sample less known sample packs that mostly have little bass clips in them that are easily turned into something else...

Yea, filthzilla pack is pretty awesome. Other than that the freakyloops/famousaudio samplepacks are great. Lots of sounds made by virtual riot and utku.s.
I make music.
