104 People?

Post by metalboxproducts » Tue Jun 27, 2006 2:47 pm

It's pretty shit that only 104 people have voted on the label comp. Out 2503 people only 104 could be bothered to spend all of about one minute of there time to vote.
:o Bit of a shame I reckon.
Apathy, the curse of our generation :(

Most people probably don't know about it.

What if the admin would send a pm to every member, inviting him/her to vote?

Hi there! Ivan sent out an email for the first round. The response was about the same so we didn't bother doing it this time.

ozeb and others were bumping the thread as much as possible without being too annoying.

We did out best and are about to post the details about the winner.

:-D

Has Pressing Issues ceased to be the dubstep forum co-op label now? The only reason I ask is becuase the sub-forum was deleted some time ago...

^ to answer that, no. It is still the dubstep forum co-op label.

the sub-forum was deleted as the original purpose was for info gathering and organization. Now that another project center is used, the sub-forum wasn't neccessary.

Pressing Issues IS the dubstepforum co-op label, it just has a proper name and a logo now. Website coming soon, as well as more specific details about well, everything!

Keep your eyes out, all official announcements will be posted by Pressing Issues.

Think I got a bit confused here, the initial post was voting on a label comp, which I thought meant voting for artists to appear on a comp. I actually did vote for the logo.

Hmmmmnnn...bit more clarity in posting methinks.

Could be that folks are more "floating members" though, not everyone here's a poster are they.
Hmm....

So what role does the forum have in the running of the label now? If you remove the sub-forum from here, doesn't Pressing Issues become another independent label?

when we did the forum award last december we had the same number of responses. just over a hundred. we may have over 2000 members, but remember that easily 30% to 40% of those people don't post regularily. also, for a long time to be able to see the mixes section, we made it necessary to register. since then the permissions have changed and now you can view the mix section without logging in. many forum people registered just for the mixes.

Can't wait for the releases to start coming out.

i joined Co-op label sub-forum with main fourm only because we had too many sub-forums and that one wasn't active any more...
but label is very active, and that's important :)

One reason only 100 people voted out of 2000 registered is that alot of the 2000 registered are actually created by internet spam bots for advertising/link spreading purposes.

I reckon there are only 200 real people on here.

I didn't vote because I don't see that I should have. I think is great that this project is going ahead, but I'm not really involved with it in any way so I reckoned I don't have the right to give you guys my opinion on your logo.
