ive never really thought to get em. never felt a system is to overpowering, if im gettin attacked by the high ends i just move closer to the sub lol.
a bit of deafness after a rave is just normal, it goes away after a while.

I wear earplugs all the time. It's not the same as going without: I do tend to feel a bit more isolated with them in. And when you talk, you can hear yourself in that weird way, which can be a bit off-putting.spiderman wrote:so your sayin it sounds the same as having them off?

But there's no way I'd go without. I was thinking about this before: all those parties that are taking place in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society... Be grateful for what you've got. We're all here because we can hear. You don't wanna be without music when you're older, now, do you? And you really don't want permanent ringing in your ears.

Yeah, you can talk to people, and you can hear people too: they're shouting over the music!
When I'm at Plastic People, I generally take em out when I'm in the bar area, because it's not so punishing there. But on the dancefloor, they're essential.
They also come in handy if you're in a hostel and the bloke next door is watching telly too loud at night, or comes home drunk and puts his music on really loud, or if you've got builders working outside your flat that wake you up in the morning...
