For the newbies, what does this mean? How will this differ to the original press? Sound quality? HTFR just cashing in?

I mean this looks legit???

Artist / Group LA ROUX
Record Title IN FOR THE KILL (SKREAM REMIX)
Record Label POLYDOR
Release Year 2009
HTFR Cat No.MR293333
Catalogue No.SMC001
Release Date16th March 2009
Availability AVAILABLE
In Stock YES
Format BRITISH PROMO 12"
Music Genre DUBSTEP

If they've just pressed MP3 onto the white label and advertised it as the "promo" they're going to make an absolute killing!

Surely Polydor would take their ass to the cleaners?

I'm thinking it's probably on the up and up. If you want a copy of that record you should probably get it. I imagine if you're buying it on vinyl it's for more than the novelty of owning something that 499 people own along with you... for the record, there are a lot of rare shitty releases too... buy it because you like it. If you value it for the tune and care about vinyl, that is...

Well against my better judgement I bought one.

If this is real surely they can't last long? I'm thinking of emailing HTFR and getting the lowdown on it.

Like, im pretty sure that would be just about the most illegal thing ever
Htfr are dodgy stnuc, but I would have thought they're big enough to not be messing around doing things like that lol Besides, I would have thought if anyone was gonna do that, they would be flogging them on ebay jacked up buy it now prices, instead of 5.99 a piece? They wouldnt even really make that much money.

Hope it's the real deal but HTFR have form.... bought a white label off them years ago which turned out not to be the original pressing, and was in fact one of the worst pressings I'd ever heard.

Got in touch with the artist concerned who confirmed it was not bona fide.

Was there any action taken?

Surely If these people are doing this there has to be repercussions for their illegal actions?

I really hope It's not the case here.

Whoever gets the first copy from HTFR MUST post here with regards to the quality etc
