Fair enough but if that was the presumption already why ask the question?

I really don´t think what is right or wrong in this case, however I reckon you have to take into consideration that this will be a new label, that need to make it to the shelves at the record shops (so people will notice it), and therefore I belive that the sleeve should be nice looking, in colours etc. As mentioned, dubstepforum features tons of skilled graphic artists. Of course a colour sleeve adds to the cost...

Does anyone know how much more, in terms of printing cost, tech art would cost?

Ive grew up writing graffiti...bombing and piecing... Im not a toy in any means... I kinda gave it up for djing and music...but i still have crew that are heavy writers. I could get some boys to do some wicked letter styles that are clean and simple.. I just really think that graff style fits with dubstep..the whole b-boy thing ..ya know??

I think that would be pretty tight. If nothing more, we could have some flyers, posters, stickers, whatever made up... a few CD's with the tagged logo's on there... could be sweet.

Yep. The best spot for them is on DJ's flight cases and whatnot though... because other DJ's will see that and start looking for our stuff... people will ask what label that hot new track is on, and someone will give them a sticker and a promo CD or something... will be fucking enormous...

I think it would be a sick idea for promotion if we handed that dude some vinyl to tag up with some original work... like 10-20 of them and, and like at random we send them out to people who put in orders... that way, some people would be walking around with one of a kind artwork on their copy...
although, I don't know how tagging the vinyl itself would affect how well it plays... perhaps just the label or the sleeve.

yeh i must say i do think graf is a risky one to run, can end up looking a bit sort of played out. However, having said that, im really feeling
bottom left in red...those handstyles are lush...feeling the sort of quasi-arabic calligraphic styles!
But then also CEDE has done some superb work for offshore that ive seen, and the art direction of goosehound, while not necessarily the vibe we'd be after, is obviously of a very high quality...we should keep him involved for art direction in my opinion (if we decide to go for something more detailed)

no doubt. I was just thinking it would be cool to have some original art on a select few releases, perhaps add some value to the purchase, know what I mean?

Yeah i mentioned before that you can keep it minimal...what ive showed you guys is a bunch of his shit that was in his black book and stickers that were ready to go up in the streets...hence the clutter... As i said earlyer something clean and simple...minimal is best
