For re-amping goodness, find an old tube radio (thrift stores, garage sales, online ads) and rip out the amplifier circuit w/ tubes, then solder the input to a female 1/4" jack and the output to a male 1/4" jack. Be sure to keep the power connections intact when you take out the amp.
