Alright something ive noticed from even very new producers posting dubs is that their tunes are very full sounding compared to mine. meaning you can clearly hear every element and it takes up the majority of the space in the eq spectrum.. its hard to explain. but i guess the best way i can put it is...

i was asking this question 2 years ago and honestly it just comes down to experience and playing with shit. eventually you will get the hang of what you are trying to do, just play around with different hat sounds and find samples that play off eachother well.

i still havent bothered to learn resampling or even try resampling, still busy learning other shit like sound design.. but from what i gather you need to have the sound your set with before you resample. but i could be wrong... i think you need to have the exact lfo and note/pitch you want to use be...
