i might have to hit you up for some advice on the bcr 2000. i have one, but it's never seemed quite as user friendly as the uc33 that i am currently using.

the bcr is the only controller i've used while dj'ing with ableton. i can pretty much do everything i want with it...though it could use some more buttons or pads for kill purposes. i have it set up to control volume/eq, transposition, tempo, and several effects parameters. it does exactly what i want it to do every time. i've lugged it around everywhere and it's still a solid box with all the knobs, each of which has lcd displays that make it easy to see what's what in a dark club...or on a roof like last weekend! all in all, i've had nothing but positive experiences with it.
