My stupid question:
Is it possible to route all the audio playing on my mac (NOT IN CUBASE) into an audio channel? I want to record some samples from a movie I'm watching, audacity doesn't have the option to record all audio either???
Would help a lot, thanks.
Cheers

there are a few different VST folders when you install Cubase
if you are on a PC install the software in the Steinberg/Cubase/VST folder
you might be pointing the install to Steinberg/VST which might not be getting scanned upon startup of the software

I tried to recreate your problem but I can't!
My Cubase doesn't allow me to minimize the Velocity window further.
What version do you use?
Oh if you clicked on the minus icon then simply click on the arrow on the bottom left and select 'Velocity Only'

Have you seen the videos about Cubase 6 on their website?
Quite interesting stuff indeed!
Working with automation will become so much easier!

bump.
im sure some of you are on cubase 6 by now; can anyone tell me if its substantially better than 5?
also, i am a cubase n00b, been on a reason/ableton setup so far but ableton kinda pisses me off lol, dont really like its layout... i was wondering if I could get any valuable keyboard shortcuts for cubase since i heard there were loads of them

File menu >>> Key commands
You can see all the shortcuts already set up and assign your own.
