ChronicRecords wrote:Massive wobble sync automation question for FL:

In massive in FL , What would be the best way to change around the sync'd lfo speed of a wobble multiple times to mutliple speeds such as 1/4 , 1/8, 1/12, 1/16 in a 8 bar time frame and record that.

ive tried pressing the record button in FL and moving the lfo ratio thing with my mouse but it doesnt record the movements. doesnt work.

Tried Slicing different clips that were each set to a different speed, then putting them together but when i use the knife tool it cuts out large portions of my note and i cant get the wobbles to change at precise times like in between a fast 1/16th wobble... plus to do it this way is a huge amount of work if you want to change the speeds alot..

I think it would be easier if i could just record the movements of my mouse in massive somehow when im switching between speeds, so every 8 bars it will change between speeds on its own? Anyway to do anything like this ?

And if there isnt a way to do it this easily, and i have to resort to cutting and pasting a shit load, is there a way to slice ur clips extremely precisely , without removing any notes. Sorry if this is confusing, if you know what im getting at please help me with the most efficiant way, or anyway you do it. thanks!

goto the global options tabs on massive and click the option box where it says external sync and change it to manual sync .... set the bpm on the counter above and you should be sync'd ;)

then tweak the knob on massive and goto edit events last tweaked settings

i dont know if this will work once you've enabled massives lfo sync

ill check it out now ;0)

* in both cases i cant edit the lfo rate with or without sync enabled

* ok .... you can but you have to assign one of the macro control's to the lfo rate then .... you cant goto last tweaked event you need to goto

view > browser

look in the browser for 'current project' open this foldout

click this then look for 'generators' open this foldout

look for your instance of 'ni massive' open the settings

then scroll through the settings till you see 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 depending on which macro you want to automate ;0)

hope this helps

How you figure? Saves all of your samples/sounds and your .flp source in a zip. You open the zip in FL and it has all of your files already instead of trying to find the sources on the disk. It's a must if you're working on multiple different computers and don't have the same sample libraries on them all or don't use an external hdd. You'll end up with missing samples if you don't.

Exported zipped loop package - this will have the project and all the samples..

You'll just ahve to use all the same VSTs - BUT it will open without them.

Create the template you want, then make a file in C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio\Data\Projects\Templates .. called like "default" or something...

Save the template you've created, then drag the project file you want to be a new template in the newly created folder in /templates, then look where you choose templates and your "default" folder should be there, click that and it'll load the new template.

Hehe just so happened to click production as you posted it seems, be warned though - keep your default templates simple otherwise FL will take AGES to load up. :)

I mean like, set up a reverb / drum bus have a analyser on the master and like.. 8 empty sample slots - not 8 instances of your perfered VST and loads of long audio files.

yep just make sure pattern is selected when you goto export and not song

should be lights near the bpm counter to switch between modes

(to export a wav)

... if cool edit accepts vst then you just goto the piano roll and click the button by the tool selection its a drop down and you should be able to save to midi ... then load the midi to your vst in ce ... but im not familiar with ce and dont know if it supports midi

why don't you just save it as a 320 mp3 instead of saving and converting it?

file > export > mp3 file > choose where you want to save it > set bitrate to 320 > voilà!
