130 is so dull though.

SCUBA for Article in XLR8R
but that's a really tough call
those two branched out in so many different ways
Scuba is a much better DJ and I love his work, 'adrenaline' alone is par
Hotflush is a very important label! (looking forward to Mt Kimbie at Symbiosis)
I like how Personality is an actual listen from start to finish it's a "Listening Experience"
Scuba is much more romantic than Zomby, and his sets get the girls going hard.
Here's a question to solve the riddle, where the fuck is Zomby's Boiler Room??
Because he's a reckless DJ, drinking and amoking spliffs clicking on a computer.
it takes so much more skill to DJ on CDJs or Decks.
Zomby has "QC" issues,
but his output is tremendous
He's got a vibe, definitely haunted grime
IDK it's not too aggressive, but it reminds me of
NORCAL SF Glitch/Dubstep scene I've sorta came up with.
More dudes on the floor for sure.
so it's almost like Dedication was this suggestion
and Nothing was a proposal
because those two records are a run for their money
also he give away lots of tunes and sounds for others to use
than again got caught up in a sampling lawsuit
foot in mouth
on twitter
IDK relentless twitterer fashionista
makes amazingly diverse music
at a range of BPMs
I would imagine that the songs are like mini concepts
so instead of an album trying to command one thing
it's giving you many ways of looking at itbeat patterns
he's like NastyNasty, Eprom, Salva... AKA Fright Night
with Terror Danjah mixed with Wiley's eski
and on a rare mood you get a touch of El-B on the swaying snares
as much as I do enjoy spliff dub and most all his sketches
seems like zombie is a little to arrogant, not fair and proper
the promoter I know was running around frantically,
I could tell it was induced by the aggressive nature of Zombys demands
and I learn later he must be picked up from airport right before set
by a women driving a BLACK WHIP and yes...
Zomby is an incredible producer. with I'm sure several harddrives of unfinished ideas.
But he's not a team player, and it seems like he used to be,
(I remember seeing a flyer online for Zomby, The Bug, and some1 else too like Kode9 in Berlin in like 2007 or something)
I get the impression that every set is "Different" My friend Leigh said his set was all DNB the night B4 I saw him and in SF it was mostly grime, so I think he's totally freestyling and giving the goods to the crowd at his own leisure
didn't like how he changed off Tempt T's Next Hype DVA Remix
when I sang along all louder than the sound system
that says something/\
so IDK, "Personality"-wise, Scuba works a crowd, and is voted RA top 25 on the Reg/

Re: ZOMBY

last six yrs yeah?
allow this dungeon is worse than satan attitude everyone has atm too. shit like night vision and hunted I still bang on the regular, dungeon has only lost direction. There's some sick "dungeon", although there's a fair bit of dull dungeon tbf.
i like a lot of the 130 stuff but i dislike some of it too. tbh dont really see the point of it being at 130 for a start.
I'm surprised the steal old rave samples and chop them on a dodgy 130 drum loop idea has had so much mileage.
