Edit*

1st of all, I am only a about a year and a half into the scene, but fell in love almost instantly. This is the result of my influence.

AquaDust: A mix that I spent a nice minute or two in the making. In an attempt to connect the UK dubstep and bring the sound here to Hawaii, AquaDust is a mix that blends my style of DeeJaying of scratching/juggling/etc with the grimiest of tracks.

AquaDust may appear as a typical mix for the semi-altered, sub-atomic Electronic music consumer. This may appear as a nuisance of sounds chaotically compiled for the average white collar westerner. Or, you may consider it an art piece for your ears, body and mind as your particles warble into a frenzy of a lighting-cracking, bass bending, eardrum-smacking conundrum of a good time. You can dance if you want to. From my initial point of contact with Dubstep, in no time it grew on me. I guess, be aware: it’s the least one could do.

Big ups to everyone on this track selection. In the most simplest of terms, "Aquadust" comes from my thoughts refering to rippling water (bass ripple from our islands in the middle of the Pacific), the relation of a wobbling Bass / Earth, the grime of the sound, and the objective of an acqueduct; to carry, to transport, to give water, life, love, influence.

(*shameless plug*) How many Dubstep mixes can you say incorporate scratching and juggling? I am on the endless search for more cuts within mixes. This shall be the first of many. Please Please enjoy, and spread good music. For I was influenced, and so shall you all be the "influencer."

Any and all feedback welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Lastly, I have pressed full production physical Mix CD's for this one. If you would like a physical, tracked out copy, with full-color artwork, please hit me up at djpacko@gmail.com. We can negotiate.

Bwomp!

hell yah sir, this is quite a big meld of audio, sounds bad ass, i dug it the whole way through.. its interesting to hear how the wobbles made by scratching can compliment the big bass and mid wobbles. they kind of go hand in hand, actually... its a rather perfect fit.

Packo's been bringing badmansounds to Honolulu's dancefloors for a solid few years and is now helping to introduce dubstep to the subtropical masses. He holds the scene down here with a handful of other dilligent DJs -- its kind of hard to go against the Top 40 grain here and make it as a professional DJ, so big ups to him for his efforts in bringing the noise.

:o HOLY CRAP :o

This mix is awesome! I'm only half an hour in but your edits/cuts are sick mate! People who don't think turntablism and dubstep go together need to listen to this mix.

Big the fuck up! This one will be on rotation for sure :D

Wow dude, sick mix! It's been a while since I've heard a mix that's got me this excited.

The juggling and cuts are a great addition to this set. Big up man.

Jam1: Yo thanks for the appreciation. Good words go a long way. Dubstep and cutting is the PB&J of electronic music, hah!

AFL: Thanks for noticing that Golden Compass sample. As far as I know, that's the first time someone noticed! Everyone's like "where's that sample from?" Thanks for putting up the mention on your blog. Good lookin' out. I don't mind at all.

milk: thanks for the bump

knox: appreciate it.
