Bugsky - Sustainability

Post by bugsky » Wed Mar 30, 2011 5:13 pm

Hey,

Been away from the forums for a while now, due to many personal and work reasons.

Still been on the producing, of course.

This is my latest creation, which I would love some feedback on - leave any links to anything you got and I'll happily have a listen too.

Soundcloud

If you want a copy of the track let me know too and I'll swing one your way.

Peace

there's some really great sound design in this, love that reverby rising synth. The song is arranged very, very similarly to a liquid dnb track- do you listen to much, was that intentional? (Just to be clear, it's definitely not a bad thing, I was just interested). Only thing I'm not a fan of is the chord progesssion. It's difficult to articulate exactly why though, sorry.

keep up the good work.

Loved this. Quite Amon Tobin Esque. Literally the only thing I can say is spend some time on the mastering.

I don't listen to as much dnb as I used to. I did go for a pretty standard 16/32 bar arrangement. It wasn't my intention for it to be like a liquid dnb track however.

Thanks for the kinds words either way.

Damn, what a compliment. Strange, as you are not the first person to say it sounds like Amon Tobin! Not a bad thing, though :)

I agree, the tracks needs some more polish in the mastering area. Needs some more panning too, I think, especially when a lot of elements are coming in together - things get a bit swamped.
