A succession of 12”s from the Glasgow-based musician appeared on the Scuba/Hotflush labels in 2006-7 and whilst the stepping drums and heavy sub bass saw him revered by many alongside some of dubstep’s elite, it was his dexterous and intricate synth work harking back to the heyday of 90s electronic pioneers such as Orbital and the Future Sound of London that saw him stand out from the pack. More recently, vinyls on Saigon and Davey Jones have been very well received from all quarters.

The 3 original tracks presented here were originally written in 2009 and have regularly formed part of Gravious’s live sets across Europe and Australia since, we thought it was about time they got a wider audience and so here are the melodic future-steppings of City of Spheres & Torus, plus the free-spirited 6/8 electro-waltz of Volver.
Not content with that we’ve commissioned a remix of each track from 3 of our favourite producers – Sorrow sheds the 2-step leanings of his Summer of Love EP to produce a rumbling dungeonistic re-work of Volver, Duskky re-imagines Torus as a slow-mo techno epic and Muteqx’s first new production since the release of his seminal “Chronicles” album on Echodub completes the package with a dubbed-out trip through the City of Spheres.
We've got loads of exciting stuff to come in 2012, with albums from Hurtdeer and Macka, plus EPs from Ak0pian, Cogidubnus, Mirror State and Splines all scheduled for the next few months. Sin up to the facebook page to stay updated - http://www.facebook.com/brokenbubble
