Square wave, cut the mids with a wide notch, leave the mid/highs, roll off the extreme high end. Add tight reverb.

Guys i got new the secrete to this one. Spent hours looking to getting that hard metallic sound. But all it is really it your basic patch, whatever wave you want. The trick is in the after FX. The main thing it adding a filter delay. You put your delay to ms and go around from 1 ms to as high as 20 ms for your taste.

I think the lower the speed the high the higher the pitch of the delay. Then you add your other fx such as chorus and flanger for more grittyness. Its been awhile on my daw but it took me awhile to get this sound. Theres another thread about a metallic sound and it has great stuff about it.

If you want i could post my patches im using for a song. Its inspired by a movie and has a big sound to it when you get the right fxs in ableton.
