I’ve nothing to add. Just posting to be in your thread.
Re: music players and computers....
I still use Winamp 2.95 as I mentioned, from 1999/2000 or so haha. It's lightweight and to the point, but also a good video player. The new ones were too bloated for me. If you come from itunes, you probably wont notice any bloat.P Daley wrote: Shit I meant to type Winamp![]()
Even that one supports FLAC though: flac-plugin-for-winamp-2-and-winamp-5
There's lots of great plugins for it, even ones that let you load VSTs.
Also recommend this for pitch/tempo control: http://www.winamp.com/plugin/pacemaker/12689
(for older Winamps: http://www.surina.net/pacemaker/old/index.html)

used to be diehard winamp user now i couldn't live without foobar
Re: music players and computers....
i havent heard of any of those programs...maybe i should try them out
i jsut use the Zune player...but i have a zune so idk. it's pretty easy, just tell it which folder on your computer all your music is going to and it automatically uploads it to the zune player. never really saw the need for anything else. burns CDs easy as hell too.

In all seriousness, I don't understand how anybody couldn't like iTunes.

Just stick with iTunes tbh. It runs a lot better than the Windows version and you can get FLAC support for it as well as a bunch of custom scripts too. I've tried some alternatives, but none of them stacked up.jameshk wrote:What about for those of us on mac?

Well? Why? On a PC I could see some software issues arrising with WINDOWS because Microsoft sucks hot &ss, but not iTunes itself. Esp not on a Mac... Runs clean.magma wrote:ketamine wrote:In all seriousness, I don't understand how anybody couldn't like iTunes.
Re: music players and computers....
Sharepod is the shit if you just want a simple drag and drop program for your ipod. Winamp since I'm cool and I don't use an ipod.
Re: music players and computers....
I just don't use anything by Mac. That company hasn't contributed a single thing to anything. Well, yes, a more expensive alternative to windows.
Re: music players and computers....
It would be an issue with Apple being so proprietary all the time. If everything else runs fine on an OS, except proprietary software then yeah. I never installed itunes, but I've had to fix a few computers with it and it was a huge shitpile that took forever to do anything and needed constant updates. Maybe it needs to be set up proper, but most people don't know how. It just seemed far too bloated for me to ever want to bother.ketamine wrote:Well? Why? Re: music players and computers....
This, from my experience, is entirely the problem. Not the software.wormcode wrote:but most people don't know how.
