there's been a few of us doing it over the last few days and its been good fun, nice vibes and good tunes, and we're hoping to get more people involved
when you go to the channel, make sure to click the chat window instead of social stream
set times
to keep things organized and running smoothly we're thinking to keep things on the hour, or half-hour
basically, everyone start either on the hour, or at half past, and finish on the hour or half.
if you want to book in a certain slot for certain days thats fine by me, but please arrange it 1/2 days before or on the same day just a few hours before. if the channel becomes more busy it shouldnt be a problem booking shows further in advance
also this is not set in stone but we thought a max length should be 1hr 30m, just to keep things moving.
its definately negotiable though, we'll just see how it turns out.
Also, if there's nobody waiting to go on after you, feel free to go as long as you like. and for anyone thats wanting to come on, just let them know in the chatroom on the channel or you can arrange it in this thread beforehand.
keep in mind that multiple people can sign into the account, and it wont boot the original person off. it will just add a number next to your name in the chatroom, which means you dont have to mess around signing in and rushing to start streaming.

its easy enough to set up, i can only speak for a vinyl/CDJ setup but its pretty much plug&play, there is a few people on here mixing with software too so if you need help setting up let someone know in this thread.
line/record out from your mixer into the microphone/line in on your PC/laptop.
check the levels first before you broadcast (you'll only have to do this once)
plug your 3.5mm cable into your line-in, then
>right click on your volume icon
>recording device
>line in >properties > levels
for mine i have to bring it down a load, mines on 4% but this just ensures that it doesnt clip
i also have to set my channel gains to 0 on my mixer for the turntables
it may be different for everyone though so just test it out for yourself beforehand, maybe go into audacity and hit record whilst a songs playing and just tweak it so it stays out of the red on the VU meter.
if you're ready to stream, go to the channel, login with the main account and press "go live" at the top right.
it will ask you which channel you want to broadcast from, so choose secret ninjas
after that just press broadcast now!
if its clipping, adjust the volume on the broadcast window. i have mine set at about 50%
if you're wanting to stream with a webcam too, it can be selected in the broadcast window, and depending on your connection put the video quality lower down
for chatroom purposes you should login under your own name, rather than everyone being logged in as SecretNinjaSessions and it getting confusing
