Recommend me rock in this vein
who were influenced by:
SIMILAR MUSIC PLEASE I KNOW ONE NINJA LISTENS TO THIS
Re: Recommend me rock in this vein
No idea really.
Gonna post anyway though. hahaha
I mean this might appeal to a Cardiacs fan in terms of wacky crazyness and technical ability combined.
and this is more on the noisy energetic side of things

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm really just looking for crazy, technical rock music.
Re: Recommend me rock in this vein
Have to recommend some Crimson:
The stuff you're looking for is most likely math rock, I'll post a few songs:
(one of the most popular math rock songs, not really a fan tbh)
And if you're interested in instrumental stuff check out Scale The Summit

Re: Recommend me rock in this vein
fucking massive ups devry, cardiacs are literally the finest band ever... to be honest, just go and buy cardiacs entire back catalogue and that'll be all the music you'll ever need, failing that you could listen the monsoon bassoon who feature the talents of Kavus (cardiacs new boy) on guitar and appleblim on bass
fall of troy are a good suggestion as well but i'd have posted a different song cos FCPREMIX is pretty much their pop single
mars volta kill it as well

Anyway I'm gonna go and balance out the fact that this thread has gone a little more melodic with this one. haha

Re: Recommend me rock in this vein
hi first of all im more of a lurker than a poster especially on snh but this is the sickest thread ever and some amazing stuff has been posted. youthmovies were one of my favourite bands when they were about, such a shame they broke. anyway, heres a few suggestions of bands which if you dig around, you can find some really mental stuff by them
TERA MELOS (theres another band called fago sepia who are a bit more jazzy but still as headfuck as this band)
TUBELORD (a nice math breakdown/freakout in this one)
PENNINES (the second drum sequence the guy does in this is amazing)
and lastly if anyone has heard that new electro-ish duo called alunageorge, george used to be in this band called colour. both alunageorge and colour are worth a look
sorry for the stupid amount of video links, hope someone finds some joy out of it
