What DAW do you use?
Reason 5

How long have you been producing for?
2 and a bit years

What VSTs do you favour?

malmstrom...all of it really

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?

Bassnectar, Emalkay, Joker, Koan Sound, Nero, Rusko, mala , kode 9, caspa, stenchman

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep).
influences to me are old school sounds like 8-bit things, i dont nesissarily get to use 8-bit noises but i manage to create an elctro synth, or a similar style melody of that sort of genre. i got massively influenced by hyperdubs first album, like malas level nine track or quarta 330 those sounds blew me away. also long time listener of flying lotus and other trip hop. also recently house and futuregarage has been creeping into my periferal. STenchman massively showed me a way, with his free album a while back not all his tracks were eye bleeders, and i just really enjoyed that you can make music with in dubstep before all this bro-step mingled with top of the pops

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL?

What DAW do you use?
Reason 5, yo
How long have you been producing for?
About 5 months I think
What VSTs do you favour?
No VSTs, Reasonboy. Have to say that I love Thor, RV7000 and Kong more than the others though
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
I'm not sure really, my tracks doesn't really sound alike and I'm not reaching for a special sound.
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Much of my inspiration comes from hiphop. Groups like Looptroop Rockers, Hilltop Hoods, Cunninlynguists, Gang Starr and some not so famous shit :)
I do listen to most dubstep so I guess I take inspiration from there, would have to point out that I like some more than others. L-Wiz, Phaeleh, Skream, Kromestar and The mighty Widdler to mention some.
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
Well, since there are not many producers here in Sweden, I doubt that people will be able to get something going IRL.

How long have you been producing for?
About 9/10 months

What VSTs do you favour?
Well I use reason so none, And in Reason I use a variety of synthesizers for different sounds no particular favourates :)

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
Hmm not sure I always like to change styles from heavy stuff to chilled stuff so I'd say for heavier stuff I'd say Skrillex/Exicision/Borgore/Downlink/Bare Noize and for the chilled stuff I'd say some of its kind of Flux pavilion/Gemini styled and more Circus records kind of music but I have loads of different styles so none in particular

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
I have loads I love the progression of house, the melodies of trance & techno and the bass and drums and variety in Dubstep and a lot of this is reflected in my tracks.. and in dubstep I take influences from every producer and every track that I enjoy :)

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
Probably would be a matter of sending the file back and forth but just-in-case.. I live in Bradford, UK but doubt that helps ha ha

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?

About 4 years producing, Dubstep for about 10 Months.

What VSTs do you favour?
Massive, Ohmicide, D_Blue Glitch, Karma VSTs

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
Tek-One, Dubba Jonny, Skrillex, Chrispy.

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep).
I was first introduced to Tek-One, I often replicate the same sound, or near the same sound as Him, Dubba Jonny is also a good influence on me. I often like filthstep artists more than the traditional dubstep artists. I just recently got into Skrillex, although he isn't dubstep of any sort, he is good at what he does and I love his sound.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL?
Remote collaboration, Sending files back or forth or using some sort of subversion repository works

What DAW do you use? Ableton
How long have you been producing for? 3 to 4 years, doing nothing but music production / learning production, I know my tunes aren't the greatest, but I do know alot, I just get overwhelmed sometimes with all I know I have to do and have a crowded 13" screen and Ableton like to crash at around 70% cpu :(
What VSTs do you favour? I mostly use massive, Ableton plugins, kontakt, few different filters, kombiant (i think thats what its called), and a little bit of Reaktor
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?well my sounds kinda brosteppy, but just all around heavy, and dark, with a little hint of humor
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)Id say Mason, Dstar, High rankin, Spor, Noisia, you get the point lol
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location) either is fine by me, I live in London Ontario
What is the best way of contacting you (PM/IM/email - obviously provide the email/IM address if it's the latter) best way FACEBOOK (Bernard Duckets) or email - burningstardj@gmail.com
Provide a link to where your music can be heard soundcloud.com/shadow-machine and for older stuff more DnB with a few Dubstep tunes soundcloud.com/burnstar

Id like to add that my main strengths are post processing, getting things sounding huge and pounding without clipping, or ending up with a sausage for a waveform, also good at chopping the shit outta samples and making them sound nothing like the original. like I stated my tunes may not show this, but I have a plethora of projects that basically just need a fresh new pair of ears and then not minding doing the arrangement, 80-90% of whats needed is already there and sounds good, just dont know where to take it or what to do with it...so if interested in swapping unfinished projects back and forth is something you'd be interested in drop me a message on FB. Who knows maybe we both excel where the other does not?
