Good drum samples?

Post by Imhotep » Mon May 03, 2010 5:38 pm

I've been having a hard time finding nice percussion sounds. Does anyone know of any free packs of sounds? I'm looking for IDM or hip hop style drum hits.

Have a look at magazines, they always give away like 2000+ free samples, the majority being drum hits,
computer music is where i get all mine from, there packs are usually by genre however, but if you grab a back issue you can get a specific genre,
or a cheaper way is, go to a library, the one near me keeps all the CDs behind the desk, you can use the computers there and copy them onto your USB, Doubt every library does it but its worth a shot
