The only one I've really enjoyed using, and the one I use profusely, is thomas penton's percussion packs. Best drums I've heard of any packs. For any other samples, I don't bother. Gave up a while ago.

What kind of sounds would that be ? Drums, sfx, ... ?
For drums, I recommend the Vengeance sample packs.
For everything else go to Prime Loops website, browse categories and make your choice.
Also, modern video games have tons of great samples which you can usually extract.

I've tried doing that - I purchased quite a few sample packs from sites like that and have found little to no use for them.
