Always put up your vids as references. I don't know what kind of distortion it is in rebirth. Its the shit, I know that much. Never heard a vst that sounded like it. And, yes, that is an invitation for someone to recommend something that sounds as good.

In terms of that pulse x sound, I don't know a distortion that will make that sound though.

lets fuck the distorted 808 sound off for 1 sec... we can all get that from rebirth.,, ill donload it later and upload the sample for you all. its just hard too record things on rewire cos its not that straighth forward like reason. but i ill upload that later... im talking about all the oldschool grime and 2 step basses. like. dj zinc 138 trek.... menta sounds of the future... all the more fire crew basses etc....i know millions of people will have the samples there just goin on tight lol.... the bigshot bass is just the pulse bass but with an envalope pitchin it down so it sounds pitch bent a bit.. ill make that one for you all aswell :)

aite i am not well versed to this sound, but i'd like to get hip to it.. been listening to more tunes and we're chatting about throwing together a grimy basses pack.
i've got some good tape sat. 808s on the HD, and some other stuff to push through my little black box (good lord that sounded dirty).

it should be fun but tbh i don't exactly kno what I'm doin. hopefully some people will like my basses and share theirs. i reckon it'll be a few one-off bass stab type things, not like complete basslines or standout synths. just looking to have a bit of fun with sampling/resampling.

i looked everywhere for info on what makes it so different.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

in that old Dizzee tune "I love You" those are distorted 909's

I have some that sound just like that as well as some jomox drums that are tits

I can upload them if that's what you guys are looking for

BTW.. it's the foldover distortion that gives the 909 kick that distinct sound, no LPF involved afaik
