full tune video tutorial/narration from scratch to mixdown..

Post by deadly_habit » Tue May 24, 2011 4:29 am

how many people would say it would be worth their while?
i know there is loads of masterclasses which cover some parts of tunes, and others after it's done, but...
if i was to do a tune from blank project to first mixdown would it be worth covering every minute viewer wise
from trial and error etc
kinda be my easy way to partake in the boards again since during the week my new job eats most of my time
and i feel through the process i could cover some techs and synth methods that are second nature to me that would come across as valuable to other people
just it could take awhile depending on how the tune progresses could be a couple hours of vids in a weekend to maybe a few weekends or more heh, but would cover the whole process
be it frustration to awww this is easy of emotions

would it be worth your time?
prolly be in similar style to my gaming vids

Cool idea, it would be worth YOUR while to do something like this as well. Teaching is a great way of reaffirming and improving your knowledge plus you might get that magical bit of feedback where you learn a thing or two yourself.

def man i do with my gaming vids all the time even regarding levels and my full time job i do environmental advocacy and have members of our organization and random people teach me new things all the time
hell as a producer you are learning all the time just wanna know how many people would spend the time viewing it if i took the time doing and converting from raw footage to the damn 15 min youtube timeframe segs

Awesome idea. I would love to watch a full run through from start to finish, just to see how other people do stuff mainly.
Definitely worthwhile. DOOWIT! :W:

Cool idea Deadly.
Maybe try to compress your twiddling into sections.
Don`t do 7 hours of twiddling with a single drum hit.
I`m sure you get my drift?

Every minute can be a lot.
Basic track can be a couple hours to a couple days.
Maybe create a stripped down version of a track explaining fundamental concepts.
Beat, Bass, Lead, melody.
Leave it there.

If you`re aiming for end-user basic producers, a minute by minute will be great for a new producer.
But explaining every little aspect would be overkill for me personally.
I`d watch the vid for your nuances and for interest over education.
I`m more interested in mastering and synthesis techniques over actual track structures and how to compose a track.
