Kings of both sides of dubstep atm in my opinion, how the fuck do they get their sounds so dripping wet? I can get a fairly good mid-range requake-y bass in massive quite easily, but their subs!!!! How do I get my subs to sound so dynamic and powerful?? Particularly good in the track "so"

on "so" it sounded like they might have put a subharmonic synth on their sub

yeah theres definitely some layering going on, I can't get these kind of harmonics in mono though? Can I break the mono rule above like 80hz for example?

sub harmonic synthesis shouldnt effect your stereo image. it just creates harmonic undertones

what exactly do you mean by sub harmonic then? I just thought it meant putting stuff like combs and chorus on your sub :P

Hmmm well I think I can EQ pretty well atm, like I know which frequencies to duck on my mids and I know what frequencies are gonna hit hardest on my sub, I think its more about their effects chain and the way its made tbh

So I've been looking into the Aphex Aurel Exciter w/ Big Bottom...
Kind of wrote off the "big bottom" but would this work good on the sub? >.>
