Re: Sonic destruction
Just bought this, Electro Harmonix Holy Stain pedal. Room Reverb, Hall Reverb, Pitch Shift, or Tremolo into tone shaping > color shaping > analog overdrive.
Fuuuucking dirty : ) And the pitch shifter is just the tits, I didn't think I would like it...mostly got it for dirty reverb. Wub, if you are interested in some awesome pedals (and quite a few available in stereo) I highly recommend EHX. Their stuff is very low noise and very usable in the studio. Great for dubbing stems as they are a knob per function. Some even have small preset memories. And they wall wart powered, no 9volts which is so nice in the studio.
I also have their Memory Man Hazarai delay pedal and have their stereo, tube pre-amp, tone shaping, over drive pedal on the way ...should be here today... if you run the left channel output into the right you can run a mono signal through both circuits for added mayhaem.
Warning, they are botique-ishly priced. All of mine have been around 150-200USD.
I realize that you can get a pretty awesome VST FX for less than that...but...it's fucking boring. I'm so done taking music SOOOO fucking seriously. Turning knobs and actually plugging things together to route them somehow makes you really think about WHY you are doing what you are doing...end rant...

Re: Sonic destruction
OMG, that second video...better have a limiter between signal and monitors! I know those Jomox boxes can destroy speakers and ears. Nice alternative to a Sherman filter bank (not as creamy though from what I've heard).
Pedals are the tits /thread...
you have a secret career as some artsy vegan straight edge drone artist, don't you wub?
