Rob acid on Mastering

If your interested in mastering or just want to see rack after rack of incredible equipment.

He always cuts away everything under 30hrtz and above 17-18khrtz :o

I tried cutting away stuff under 30 hrtz but none of my eq's have a steep enough response to do the job without affecting the 30-60 hrtz area. I've tried abletons Eq 8, Autofilter and Bombfactory SC-226 Can anyone recommend a steep filter slope EQ?

What a interesting video :o .

I have no clue who the bloke is but he obviously must be good at what he does with all that shit, i love the way everything he owns is unique and to how he wants it.

Definitely a good one for the loudness war thing too. Whacking vintage warmer on the mix don't make it good!

Going of the topic though for a sec. But when i watched that Benga interview on future music or woteva it woz. He was saying he always highpasses sounnd. Good way to thin out your sounds and your track

low cuts give you space in your mixdown, so nothing will struggle with eachother. The lowcut till 30 hz and hightcut 17-18 is to push up the volume :)

lol ive watched the video and he describes parralel editing in a hardware situation (The dry/wet thing with the compressor). Lot's of cool stuff he had to tell though it was a bit basic.

The music itself in the movie had lots of sidechain compressoin and sample delay to wide the mix and get bigger dynamics in a track

It's important to get your hair correct otherwise the soundwaves won't reach your ears right.
