Thanks for all the interest peeps
i've been mastering professionally for about 5 years now, but i want to work on more steppa and electronica stuff as that's what i love! I make Dubstep/acid/mentalist stuff myself too ( www.myspace.com/Optikatechniqua ) Rates are pretty sweet, and i do discounts for albums of course. Love so much of the new music i've been checking from various producers on here

Biggup Lowpass, that tune was heavy!
Megaladon - it is a free offer man, but just to clarify, you don't get a whole track back that you can just send out to radio, play out in a club or release.
I master it & then send it back with some A/B cuts with the original for you to hear exactly what's going on, reference it to other CD's etc.
Then assuming you want the full version, you send me some dollar & I send you the track. Cake.

Got mine demo also from them. I liked what i heard. I compared their version with mine "mastered" version and - although the loudness was same, then their version had much more nuances and was very clear. Drums sounded better and there was much more life overall. So, considering to use the service when I finish some new tunes:) Good work!
Yes yes, some serious baddness coming from the Depone, and that Martello track was very tasty indeed!
Just a quick add-on, I want to make a point that as Alvin/Martello rightly observed, when getting tunes professionally mastered it's all about the nuances & detail that gets revealed via optimised dynamic tweaking etc.
Anyone can get a track loud - just crush it to death with a limiter & normalise it - but this will sound appalling after the initial loudness hit wears off (about 10 seconds max I reckon
I personally go for sound QUALITY first, then get it as loud as the client wants (usually "as loud as possible please"
I can get tracks to MASSIVE intrinsic loudness if you want, but please bear 3 things in mind when deciding what you want from a master:
1: Forcing the "loudness" beyond all sane levels degrades QUALITY in most cases (depends on the track) i.e. tone, dynamics, percieved depth & clarity etc...
2: ALL radio stations, from BBC Radio 1 to the grimy pirates run the output through a limiter anyway as standard, so pushing a track too hard at the mastering stage will actually cause severe over crushing on the radio, & lead to a perceptively weaker tune (headphuq I know, but it's true)
3: Every stereo I've ever owned or seen has a dedicated volume control on it. It's usually the biggest thing on the front panel, is right next to the "play" button, & is easy to use - just turn it.
I'm firmly of the "customer is always right" opinion though, so if you want a track that has absolutely mental intrinsic loudness I can certainly do that, but unless specifically asked I'll do it to this spec:
"As loud a possible without degrading the sound quality."
If you want some interesting reading on this google "loudness wars" - there's LOADS of it. I've also been interviewed about it for Knowledge mag this month, so look out for it!

cheers Gilles, the Mix Evaluation is unique to us, as far as i know.
Not everybody has great monitoring and acoustics (i was making tunes for years with the shittest setup known to man, so i know what it's like!)
At the end of the day me & you both want the same thing - to make your tune sound the best it can be. Often really subtle changes at the mix stage that you may not even be able to hear if you have a gully setup can have huge impact at the final master.
by the way,
Any labels looking for talent get in touch with me as I have heard SO much future shit from headz on this forum. Biggup yo bad selves
