What's Your Favourite Synthesis Type?

Post by futures_untold » Thu May 14, 2009 10:10 am

Ez

What's your favourite synthesis type & why?

I really like the 'grain-table' synthesis that Reasons Malstrom synth does. Now I'm continually searching for a granular wavetable synth that allows me to use my own wavetables in the oscillators. :)

I like the subtractor because it is so easy to program yet it can do so much.

Wavetable, your basses and such are unlinkely to sound the same with that amount of waveshapes, although with circle I did have a habit of choosing the same 4 waveshapes every time.

That was a edit btw :corndance:

I would now say a modular environment i.e. Reaktor, because it can do all this, and more. I would also like a hardware modular, even though I think it's more limited then Reaktor, it would have a great hands on interface, and words like analogue get me very excited.

I still think gladiator took a preexisting synth type, and just renamed it :corntard:

Voted granular. Really wavetable too, they are so similar and I can't possibly choose between them...but I guess I did XD
