DSF Q&A Sessions 3: Kutz

Some of you may not be familiar with the sound of fresh new talent, Kutz hailing from CROYDON. He has been a busy bee deep in the studio producing tunes for some years now, some of which have been co-produced alongside his buddies Skream and Benga. Kutz' track 'Twilight Zone' featured on Skream's latest mix CD, 'Watch The Ride!' which became one of the highlights of the mix. Kutz also recently guested on Skream's infamous radio show 'The Stella Sessions' on Rinse FM to roaring success. Kutz also co-produced the 'Ill Kut Ya' with Benga, which has been blowing up dances on the underground dubstep scene for some time now and appears on Benga's latest offering for Tempa 'Benga!'

His official releases include:
Drums Of No Return / Taranchula (12") - Soul Jazz Records (2008)
Travelling / Static (12") - Soul Jazz Records (2008)

You can listen to Kutz @ his MySpace

You have to thank pdomino for making a lot of this possible!
Be aware that Sessions will run officialy for one (1) week per producer. After that it's up to the producer if he'll continue answering questions. So don't make silly faces if your question is left unasnwered after 1 week passes :)

What's your home setup like?

How did you hook up with Benga and Skream?

How did you get your first release?

What's your typical workflow like?

Since you'll be throwing a gig in estonia today, how did you like the place?

thank you for taking the time to do this.
what are your fave plug ins at the moment?
what synth do you prefer?
do you feel wobble bass is getting played out
or do you feel it is a fundamental of the sound and will stay prominent?

Do you go into the studio thinking 'i want my track to sound like this' or do you just play around until something sounds good to you?
