HATE. (Darkcore/Injustice)
The boomkat review:
We can tell you f*ck-all about HATE, except for the following. The majority of the material on this label is previously unreleased, original junglist hardcore dating back to 1991-1994 from producers who wish to remain anonymous. A carload full of dubplates and DAT tapes full of unreleased material was handed over to the label at Sowerby bridge in Yorkshire sometime in 2008. The material (several hundred original tracks) has been gradually catalogued, with a few tracks already planned for release this year. HATE is a Modern Love project and the label might also feature occasional new versions from different producers. All HATE transmissions will be limited to 300 stamped copies. You've been warned...
Jus copped this from boomkat sounds interesting as hell, but no real info on it...
The one article i could find on it linked it to T++.
still.. anyone else copped this?

YES
Here's that other article about it: http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index.php ... &Itemid=52
This is a seriously great-sounding record. Wonder if the other releases on HATE will be anywhere near as good. And is the whole "old tunes from 1994" thing just spin? Remember when Basinski first started releasing stuff we were told it was decades-old music done by some previously undiscovered hermetic sonic alchemist? Whatever the truth.... ordered!

The side that is not half-tempo certainly sounds very 1992 or whatever... kinda like the breakbeaty tunes that Black Dog were doing then but heavier... who knows if it's old? The half-tempo one certainly sounds like nothing I've heard from back then, though it's got the same sound pallette.

Yeah, it's definitely modern, but i don't care who it is, it's excellent.juliun_c90 wrote:i was pretty much having a go at myself for my idle speculationadisize wrote:Yeah thats not why i started the thread if it looked like that! Reminds me a little of the Special Blends they put out a while back..that was more blatant who it was though.

Sowerby Bridge is a market town that lies within the Upper Calder Valley in the district of Calderdale in the county of West Yorkshire, in northern England. From 1892 to 1930 it was the home of Pollit & Wigzell Ltd., a prominent manufacturer of quality stationary steam engines used in the cotton and woollen mills of Yorkshire, Lancashire and India.cogi wrote:haha, a bridge in yorkshire. that must surely be a wind up
