Metalbox LP Please!

Post by shards » Sun Sep 30, 2007 1:19 am

Having only heard bits & pieces on MySpace I finally got around to checking out MBP's virb: http://www.virb.com/metalboxproducts

Well farck me if he doesn't have an album's worth of material- ie. an album worth putting out IMO. Two even! And to date there hasn't been even one LP in Dubstep I have felt enough to purchase..... someone needs to make this happen.....

Apparently he kidnaps street children and makes them produce for him. You can hear the childrens' tears if you listen carefully.

Seriously though, he's definitely churning out the good'uns and you can always recognize his style which is more than I can say for a lot of producers. Don't know how he manages to do all this and spend half his life in the pub
Hmm....

and its a shame that people dont get his music released more often.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

The thought occurred to me too..... but he deserves better representation than the hodge-podge of styles that will be my label ;)

I agree, some of the tunes on the virb are embarassingly good, shame my computer doesn't like them and explorer crashes when i try and listen these days.

More Shonky / Dysfunktion releases would be nice too, good to see the digital business going on, but these guys need some vinyl out.
