First tune posted up here.
Something I've been messing around with for a few days. Not yet finished. I aim to add some more elements etc. I'm not too great at getting loudness into my tracks without them distorting/clipping so you'll probably need to turn your speakers etc. Anyways all thoughts and suggestions very welcome and appreciated. she's sweet!
liking the drums, i'd turn the kick down a bit and layer it with another one personally, but the drums are niiiice, you got the groove going on with the hats. bass is good as well, nice fucked up tone (in a good way) but would be even nicer if you switch it up, automate some effects on it or some shit...make it go mental every now and again.
the lead that comes in at 45 sec is sick, loving that, but it could sound wider.
not feeling the pads that come in at 2:05 at all to be honest. they're not in tune with the bassline and fuck up the vibe you've got going on if you ask me, and they have a tad too much reverb on them and are too loud. if you're keeping them in i'd definately turn them down a bit.
sounding really nicely made if you ask me, i'd be happy if i made it. the fucked up rewind sample is perfect, but i'd take out the pads straight away if i was you!
nice tune all in all. if it was mine i'd lose the pads and beef up the snare a bit, but if i heard this beat in a mix i wouldn't skip it, it's got a good groove to it and i wasn't expecting the lead at 45 sec, which i really liked.
hope you are down with the feedback...this beat is better than a lot of first dubs...probably mine too. nice tune!
