About a year or two ago, my brother wanted to see if I could play a drop-down version of Plastician's 'Japan' on my cello. Loved it since :)

Juju mix from 06 or 07 that my friend Vent gave me. Hooked through the bag ever since. Didn't really know what was up until I saw Hatcha play at Beta in July of last year.

First tune: Ancient Memories (skream Remix) was the first tune I fell in love with.

July 2007. I had heard a few tunes before this date. But, the Gritsy one year was my first real true experience with Dubstep.

Reform - Stone

That was the tune I remember most from that night. Warped my fucking mind. I stopped wanting to DJ any other music that night really. A year later Suraj K & SDF-ONE from Gritsy asked me to join the collective.

Guess my love for the music just fucking took over. I have mad love and serious respect for all the people that forged the sound and continue to push the envelope today.

Just signed my first 4 tracks to a Label. First time ever for me. Dubstep cherry has been officially popped.

BIG UP to all of you. You inspire me.

I remember getting The Bug's London Zoo after hearing good things and thinking "what's the big deal?" . . .
Played it in my car, with the sub of course, been hooked ever since.

Recently saw Joe Nice play a set here in Philadelphia at Fluid nite club. This was my first time experiencing step the way it was meant.
Siiiiiiick!! I'll be there for Plastician at the 941.

Anyone know where to catch more dubstep in Philly more frequently?

Lol Large Up.

Been dancing in clubs to Electro and DnB for a year or few down here in NZ. A year ago I went out to see a local DJ DFRESH. He played dubstep all night and there were a couple of "steppas" in the audience. They showed us a few steps -- and the rest I filled in myself. So interesting to dance to and such an emotional set of tunes. Something different, something half time, bit more emotional, heavy dark undertones.

Local boy Optimus Gryme came through locally this year and dropped this tune on me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwFDuq20Mhg ... blew me away.

Basically been dubstep crazy since I first heard it that night. Now I want to check out how you create it - and found this wicked forum.

It all started on NYE 2007, was going to a drum&bass party where also Grimelock was about to play!
He mixed a tune called Alchemyst - Drop The Bass, since that night I started to explore the dubstep scene and now it's all around me 24/7

First real dubstep gig has to be 2 Years Untitled! with Joker, Hijak, Grimelock

Yeah, sounded amazing, especially going through a bass/guitar pedal to make it sound less clean

got the boxcutter album Oneric when it came out i think...
i noticed some serious bass and it was jarring, no "this is dubstep" thoughts yet.
that was only when i saw skream in 2007..
