He's not Kode 9 - they don't sound alike at all to my mind. Whenever someone tries a hand at a different style, there'll usually be something in their individual sound that will be heard regardless of genre, and I don't hear that in those two artists.
And no, from what I can gather, he doesn't dj or play live. If it's true, he does all his sounds in Soundforge which would mean that he wouldn't really have anything to do but trigger audio files.
Hmm....

That's not the same song. It's the same lyric treated differently by the two artists.

lol 18mths since the first 12" came out and people are still desperate to believe that Burial is an alter ego for some other producer in the scene.
he's just a geezer from S London in his mid-20s who writes beats, there's no mystery.

If Burial reads the forum, I imagine these threads must be like going to your own funeral.

Internet forums rule... I went out to buy a record by my mate Rob once, and the woman in the shop starts telling me who he was. She's all: "Rob Sparx is Twisted Individual," and I'm like "What? Er, Rob is Rob..." She was convinced she was right, though, because she'd read it on the internet... I was confused beyond belief. I've known this kid since we were 11, and here's this girl who's never me him telling me he's someone else

Thats pretty much what DJs do tho. Albeit with a lot of style n flair (when theyre good)...
I dont think much of burial is club music still. With the exception of a few tracks i find it best served with rain, tarmac n streetlights... [/u]

too true. I bought the Burial album from Bleep one Sunday night, and when I left for work the next morning with the album cued up on my walkman, it was raining. And it was a moment of beauty. Drizzly south london beats in a drizzly south london town.
