Joanna Newsom is the cousin of Gavin Newsom the mayor Of San Francisco!
Love that clouds tune that uses a sample of her.

joanna newsom is great.
indie folk pop at its best strummed on a harp nonetheless sounding like the actress who does the voice for lisa simpson.
"even mollusks have weddin's tho solemn and leaden"
she's crazy!!

terry riley's not a bad influence like. 'In C' is an awesome piece of minimalism.

definitely a sick tune
anyone know what the original one is called or were the vocals done just for the dubstep version

It's one of the first few tunes on Stella Sessions from last week. Think it's up on barefiles. One to rock the unconverted... Or at least the unconverted cellist massive.

haha... this is heavy!!
I live with a big joanna newsom fan.. i've been slowly converting him to dubstep over the last few months.. this is gonna be the clincher!

Large one!
Clouds are moving definetly... Respect for Dead-O & Tail. The whole project is really original and refreshing in this.. Personally I think that a good artist isn't afraid to test limits and forgets all the chat about what's allowed in what style... Good music finds it's place init..
Loving Dubstep, loving Joanna Newsom = choon f*king mad!

sick tune...
is she the gyal on that orange advert with the fella walking through NY during a blackout? The one with the line "Svetlana sucks lemons on thursdays"
She's off her rocker that one. Her voice is off on some different shit...
