FUNDRAISER GIG - APRIL 26TH!!

hey everyone,

my mate is puttin on a night in april to raise money for SOAS detainee support.

this is a charity that supports those entering detention centres and seekin asylum in the UK by makin sure they have access to legal representation and medical support. This goes some way to making sure that they have a chance to get their case heard and also helps them have a fair chance to remain in this country, and helps make sure that people dont spend years and years languishing in a detention centre. since bein in a detention centre can be an isolating and intimidating experience, they also make sure that detainees are regularly visited by volunteers to help make them feel less alone and more supported. regular visits also help ease any fears (or realities) of guard brutality, as detainees feel that they can tell someone on the outside, and also that the volunteers might know somethin is wrong if a visit is cancelled repeatedly. on top of this, they regularly petition parliament on immigration issues.

so here's the favour:

the gig is at electrowerkz in angel on april 26th, and already has skinnyman and the freestylers confirmed on the bill. there's a few slots available, and personally, i think a few dubstep sets would be killer! (standard, eh?!) if anyone would like to dj for free and for a good cause, let me know as soon as you can.
