COLOGNE-10-AUGUST-07 - EVOKE TRACKS @ Sensor Club

Post by dipswitch1 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 7:28 pm

It's Evoke's 10th birthday, and the Sensor Club opens its gates for a massive celebration. Four musicians and two VJs are teaming up on Friday the 10th of August to bring good vibes to the crowd from 9pm on. Jam through a night of electronic music and excellent visuals!

Already at Evoke 2004 the Sensor Club, back then located under the legendary Essigfabrik, brought you the Evoke Netlabel Night. Three years later, there is Evoke Tracks, featuring bass-heavy electronic vibes from digital Dub over Drum'n'Bass to Dubstep & Garage.

Entrance fee for the whole ear- and eyepleasing night is 6 euros, while Evoke visitors get in for free.

--- LINEUP ---

LIVE:

disrupt - jahtari.org ^ werk disks / leipzig (digital laptop dub)

DJs:

2krazy - freak camp / berlin (dubstep)
lotek style - vinyl kartell / mannheim (electro, breaks & uk garage)
mo. - phlow.net / cologne (drum'n'bass & breaks).

VJs:

blausand & ruthene (cologne)

Damn..
Isn't No Partial just on the same night?
2 Dubstep Partys, at least they are both in Ehrenfeld. So one can still party hop.

really? i always thought no partial is on thursdays, while this is on a friday. if this really is a case - we're sorry, guys! but this is a one-off event bound to the evoke demoparty, for which the date was solid already a year ago. well, hope you guys can still hop - especially the disrupt livegig is something one might not want to miss.

wadadda, sorry man, i just noticed it's actually your gig you're having on the same night... :/ but i'll tell you the timetable in time, perhaps you'll still be able to catch disrupt liveset at least. grab a bike and you'll be from one venue to another in 10 minutes!

weird. it seems this city is already too large.. too much going on, which in the end leads to: less going on - because of all the specializing, subdividing, overflow... the oh so lovely urban overflow. but of course cologne is moderate, considering the tiny bit of one millian souls..

i believe i heard disrupt play at the staubsauger in leipzig maybe two years ago. nice small location. if my memories ar'nt foolin me, i'd say that the sound was rather sharp & digital than stoned organic dub - goes together with the anouncement of 'digitallaptopreggae'.

WERK 015 is a good record, like it a lot.

des is echt ne ruffe decision am freitag.
am besten, ma zieht wieder in ne kleinstadt, wo zweimal im jahr was los is - immer genau dann, wenn ma selber nicht in town ist - das machts einfach ;)

party war super. :)
