The price of fame?

Post by robjc » Wed May 24, 2006 11:01 am

Gutterbreakz back up again, in a limited sense.

Looks like a harsh reality check for Gutta, but I for one welcome him back.

This is not a thread to restart the discusion on the pro's and con's of sending out those mp3's, just a welcome back....

Moderators, if this thread turns into another shitshow like the last one please feel free to lock it down. I'm not asking for censorship here, but lets keep this thread based on good will please...

Peace :)

glad to see that

although very sad that the personal touches will be gone, they often made it what it was, shame that he's been made to feel uncomfortable doing so

regardless, very happy to see him back

big up gutterbreakz :h:

Yeh it's a shame. Hopefully it'll be as good as it was.

Time to remember that Gutterbreakz helped converting a lot of dubsteppers from across the globe from different backgrounds that eventualy ended up buying A LOT of dubstep records.
Even what he did that led to all this controversy i think it was with the best intentions no need for all that hating...

Big up Gutter!! Legend.

I must say I like your music Luke but disagree with your point of view - if I ever meet you at a DMZ I'd love a friendly conversation about it but I don't do beef and its sad, but not entirely unexpected, to see it washing over the forum.

If anyone has an email for GB please pm it to me.

As I said, I didn't want this to turn into a pros/cons discussion thread. I'm sure Luke will field any questions about his point of view through PM, though as a producer, I think that he is more at the sharpend of the mp3/file sharing issue than most, so perhaps thats a topic for another thread.

Lets keep this on a positive vibe (and the whole board), and I'm sure some of the Bristol heads have Gutta email if you want to show support peronally.

Thanks

cool, ive had some good conversations at dmz :)

yeh its sad but this was only to be expected after gutters dodgy dealings, even if u agree with him giving other peoples tunes away, u gotta admit that not asking the artists :!: was a serious offense and grounds for blacklisting, its not a matter of interpretation

i hope something good comes out of this and that gutta learns + fixes up

large up robJC with the positive vibes!

Wow, I didn't realise there was an official list of who's allowed to be part of the scene and who's not, maybe someone should post that up somewhere. Very important to keep order. STICKY: BLACKLIST

Definately time to move on i think!!

Welcome back to Gutta, hes always been one of the mot interesting and most humble voices in the blogosphere. End of the day hes just a big music geek (thats deffo a compliment in my eyes and im sure he'd think so if he read it  ) who wanted to share his passion. So lets all forgive and forget! 8)

Glad to see GBreaks back online. I'll miss the personal touches which were always great but I hope the music end of things returns to form.

Whatever has been said, a lot of people wouldn't be into this music if it wasn't for Gutta.
