Mary Anne Hobbs - new BBC Radio1 show details
Mary Anne Hobbs... new BBC Radio1 show details...
i know there's been a vast amount of speculation about what will happen to the Breezeblock when the Radio1 specialist music schedule changes in September..
this is how it is
my show is moving to Thursday nights 2-4am.. which is actually a far better slot for most of us.. coz we're already out & about and gearing up for the weekend...
the new show will launch Thursday Septemer 28th, it's just gonna be called Mary Anne Hobbs... my mission remains exactly the same... to bring the finest dark experimental electronic music on earth to you, first...
it's a whole new dawn for the show... i have so much exciting news coming your way in the next couple of weeks about what's in the fame for autumn... and it goes without saying.. i'd love to have you with me...
if you got questions... hit me up here...
all love
m/a.. x

Yay!
Your show is not being cancelled.
It's also at a better time.
Your last post on the forum had me worried that the BBC was going to cancel your show.
I am looking forward to listening to the M.A.H. show.

just glad to know the show is continuing.... a name change means nothing ... same format, same amazing music, same production team and same presenter .... thank fook !!
tbh, Thurs evening is so much better as Im totally knackered for the complete week staying up on Monday nights, at least theres only one day to go b4 the w/end.
Looking forward to more of the same and some *cough* more dark electronica... you already have my wish list maryanne
I quite like the new schedule.
Heres to the future !!

Aw!
No more Breezeblock?!
And a later time...which is no good if you have to get up for classes or work.
And yes, I know all about the Listen Again feature, but the sound quality isn't as good as FM or DAB yet, so it's never quite the same listening experience, as the medium tends to get in the way (if you know what I mean).
Still, onwards to the future...h'mmm starting to sound like Buzz Lightyear now!
