New track, feedback pls

Post by colossal » Mon Aug 18, 2008 6:24 am

Hi all, 1st post here, some great tracks so here's my effort.

I have just finished re-mixing a track (Manglement) that I made last year . It seems kinda dub step to me but doesn't fit the standard half time dark & dub vibe.

The original was Parenthesis.

I'd be really interested in what you guys think, could it be played at a dub step night ? I'm sure the bass would sound heavy on a big system anyway.

Would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Not bad. More on a breaks type of vibe I'd have to say than dubstep. Reminds me a little of the Rag & Bone stuff. This is a bit more playful than theirs though. Would like to hear a lead in there though to round this off I'd have to say. Maybe try a some dark rave chords on top and a few other things.

Nice one promo. I agree its pretty off the dub step feel, I wonder if it could be played at some night or another.

Thanks for taking the time to comment......

just take out half the drums and ur there.

Keep it half time with the same amount of bass, that should be ur main focus IMO.

Great breakbeat track as it is tho!
